On Physical Appearance

If you get annoyed by frustration poured out in a written form, you might want to close this website right away. I know this subject is a cliché par excellence, but it is something that just bugs me to no end. "He/she/it looks so cool. Man, his/her/its hair is awesome! He/she/it has a stellar look. Wow, such a hot style." If this is how this generation really thinks, I wish I was a 90 years old man who can count minutes until the end comes. If this is how people really start their relationships that would (God forbid) eventually lead to marriage, I think there will be more divorces than ever before.

Healthy relationships... that's what we all want. Well, dear faithful reader, if the criteria for your partner (or more juvenile "boyfriend/girlfriend") are based on what he/she has on the head, rather than in it.. if her/his style is more attractive than the heart that is within... I am sorry for you. I really am. Let's face it. His/her body (as you see, I ceased to use "it") will look far worse in ten years than it does now. He/she won't be probably pursuing any stellar style, but will most likely dress like everyone else in the middle age. His/her hair will not be as hot and stylish as it is now. Maybe he'll get bald... oh, love's gone. What's next? Ah... body only has a capacity for decay. Heart/character is the only component of our being that has the capacity for betterment. What frustrates me even more is that I don't see this view only in the world, whose master is obvious. It's indeed frustrating that the people of God, who should have enough of God's wisdom to come to terms with these realities, are the same, ever worse. What a testimony to the world. What a peaceful offering of sweet scent to God. What a healing acceptance. Once again, we Christians have something to be proud of. Thanks for your attention.
